All sorts of new tricks

So the boys are getting much more active and do many more toddler things than baby things now. They both jibber jabber while they are playing and love to pretend to talk on the phone. They are both lovey boys when they want to be, James with hugs and Jack with big open mouth kisses. They can even follow simple directions because if you tell them you want a hug or kiss, they'll do it. It is sweet they way they love on each other too, especially when one of them is tired or hurt.

They have started doing some new tricks. They can both climb onto and off of the couch. They try to get on the lazy boy, but it moves just enough that they can't yet. They can both climb up the stairs, but we haven't attempted coming down yet. They both like to look out the windows and get excited if they see trucks or cars driving by. But the biggest thing is James can walk. He doesn't do it a lot yet, but he is slowly getting there. If he thinks you want him to or realizes that you are watching, he'll stop. He does a few steps at a time and so far his record is 10 steps at daycare yesterday.

They continue to amaze me at the things they do and how smart they seem already. I can't believe that every day they are doing new things, but they are. It is scary when they think they are so big already and try to do things that they can't really yet, but sometimes they surprise me and they can, even though I'm still terrified that they will go face first off the couch some day.
